Discussed guidelines under statutes and case law for retention and disclosure of medical records. Identified potential civil liability in the event of improper maintenance of medical records. Illinois Civil Discovery Practice Program; Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, June 27, 2003, Chicago, IL; Developed four hypothetical problems raising current and common legal, strategic and practical discovery-based dilemmas for use at continuing education seminar on Civil Discovery Procedure.
